Thanksgiving week

It's taken me forever to get my stuff together...if you saw our house at this moment you would know why I'm updating because I needed a break from the chaos of decorating for Christmas. Today is the first day the kids have had school in 13 days, finally a breather where I can think about what needs to be done without being worn out from three "helpful" children.

The other night they played "massage" using the timeout chair, a brush, and toybins. I think we've been to the mall one too many times in the last couple of weeks.

Thanksgiving Day at Diana and Von's house. Not quite sure what Diana is doing to Hays, but I have a feeling it has something to do with throwing rocks! (I didn't have my camera so I borrowed these from Dad)

The brothers, Uncle Harlan and Papa Schroeter hamming it up for the camera.

Taylor with Hannah, Hadlee and Harper. Hays is in the background with the rocks.

Harper holding Cannon. Cooper and Cannon are two months old this week. They are such good babies, the girls can't wait 'til they get a little older so they can play more with them. Right now they are enjoying playing house with all of their baby equipment.

Hadlee holding Cooper. (No pictures of Hays because he was too busy playing with Aunt Melissa's phone and "I-pot". He LOVES music and Aunt Melissa let him be DJ Hays)

Cooper Thomas Wilson

Nana holding Cooper

Cannon Eldridge Wilson.

The girls and their dolls.

Happy Thanksgiving

Lots of pics to post later but just had to share this one of Harper wearing Cooper/Cannon's Halloween Onesie (size Newborn)

I'm Thankful for.... Mother's Day Out Edition

Last week the kids went to a MDO Friday Night Out. The cubs were playing a game in Houston and the weather was suppose to be terrible. (it didn't rain a drop at the game) I ended up babysitting Blair and Carson so Keisha could go to the game and not have to take her kids.

I had all 5 kids and felt a little guilty about dropping them off at 5:30 and not picking them up until 10:00. That guilt quickly diminished when I went into their playroom and it looked like a tornado had blown through after one hour of playing together.

Now to the important part of this post. They did arts and crafts while they were at MDO. One of the crafts was a cute plate with leaves and pumpkins that they got to color and someone wrote what they were thankful for.

I'm thankful for.....

Harper- my daddy, mommy
Hadlee- my cat, mommy, dad, brother, aunt, sister
Hays- my blankets, pillow, sisters, mommy, daddy

I would love to know if the mommy and daddy were prompted on any of their answers!! Hays and his blankets and pillow, too funny.

I picked up everyone that evening and they were wired with excitement. Hadlee has been wanting to have a sleepover and my excuse was she had to be in big girl underwear at night. Three weeks ago the "Princess Fairy" came to give her a new pair of shoes for being accident-free at night. (1 down 2 to go) BTW- Harper asked when the "Car Fairy" was coming to see Hays. I didn't understand what she was trying to say but she said you know like Hadlee. Hays could be our number 2, hopefully soon.....well anyway Hadlee got her wish and Blair and Carson spent the night with us! We were so happy to have them, our first of many sleepovers.

Happy Birthday, Daddy

Happy Birthday to the best daddy! We celebrated last night since we were heading to Victoria for the weekend. Hays told Aunt Cynthia that he gave his daddy "90 one hundred dollars"- now that's a birthday gift.

I love my daddy because:

Hays- he cooks good food and works in football.
Hadlee- he takes me to work with him.
Harper- he gives me lots of kisses.
Mommy- he fixes the kids' potty on his birthday!!

Hope you had a great birthday, we love you!

Ho Ho Ho from Ha Ha Ha

Saturday we went to watch the cubettes in the state Volleyball game in San Marcos, they got the silver medal and had a great season. I took one picture of the kids eating cotton candy for the first time. It didn't turn out but they really didn't care for it so I'm happy I only spent $3 instead of $9 for each one to have their own. After the game we out to eat with Ashley Yeats and her mom from Sinton. We hadn't seen them in a couple of years and it was great to catch up with them. The kids went to sleep at 7:00 p.m. on the ride home and I was scared they would be recharged when we got home at 9:00 p.m. They ended up waking up at 8:00 a.m the next morning, which made us a little late for sunday school.

After sunday school we went to see Santa at Ellison's nursery. It was great because we didn't have to wait in a line to see him. A teacher from the high school promised the kids hot chocolate if they sat on Santa's lap. Harper was the first one on and Hays was next in the action. Hadlee just wanted to smile for the picture her daddy was taking. She eventually warmed up and talked to Santa.

What we asked Santa for Christmas-
Harper- Baby doll (change from last year and her "real" baby) and a baby bed
Hays- Dog in a cage....Santa asked him if he wanted anything else and he said that's it. He pressed him for a ball or a bat, tractor, cars....and Hays said "no" just a dog in a cage.
Hadlee- Paint, lots of paint

Week in Review

Things have been moving pretty fast around here. Last week we had soccer, the last freshman football game, opening of deer season and three kiddos out of the house! Daddy dropped the kids off in Cuero so Hays could spend the weekend with Nana and the girls got to babysit Hannah again at Mema and Papa's house . They love telling people that they are going to Victoria to babysit their cousin Hannah.

Christmas, already??? Aunt Ro and Uncle Don gave the kids their first Christmas gift and they've been giving concerts ever since. Two guitars and a lead singer.

Mema, Papa and Hannah came to a soccer game on Tuesday night and got to stay all day Wednesday. It's such a joy to have Hannah at our house!

I just had to take a picture of Harper eating her first rib. In the last week she's ate chicken legs and bbq ribs, now we just have to get Hays to start eating meat.

Halloween Pics

I snapped these pictures before we left the house. I'm happy I did because the kids had no interest in taking pictures that night.
