Bluebonnets . . . another year

We were headed to College Station after naptime. Wade and I both decided that it would be a wasted trip since we wouldn't get there until after 5 and would only have a couple hours because it was Sunday. Next thing you know we're dressing kids and going to take pics in the bluebonnets.

The kids aren't running fever anymore- just lots of coughing, coughing, coughing. Poor Hays refuses to take any cough medicine so he's definitely suffering.

Thought I'd put their previous bluebonnet pictures and a picture of "baby pink" for Hadlee. I'll post more pictures from yesterday after I edit them.

FLU Shots

MONDAY- Busted in the pantry (not sick!!)

Before drugs

Two empty bottles of Motrin

TODAY!!!

Next year everyone will get their flu shots- why??? because it struck our home this week. Hadlee got sick on Saturday with a high fever but was better on Sunday. I didn't think it was that bad of a deal until I woke on Tuesday feeling like I was in a car accident and every part of my body ached. I kept telling the kids, "Mommy is sick" and they were so sweet covering me with blankets, bringing me drinks and food from their kitchen.

Hays woke me up in the middle of the night on Tuesday. I gave him Motrin because he felt a little hot but I still didn't think much of it. Wednesday morning I kept him drugged because a happy Hays is much better than a sick Hays. Then I started thinking that maybe Hays could have the flu because Hadlee and Harper had one flu shot and Hays never got his first and Harper and Hadlee never got their second one. (We went back to the doctor in Jan and they were out and told us the flu was over!) Wednesday night Harper started running fever and threw up once in the middle of the night and then Thursday morning. She's definitely worse off than Hadlee but much better than Hays.

I know I'm rambling- partly because this week has been a blur. I'm only surviving because Rosemary has been here since Tuesday night. I know I couldn't have done it without her!!! She's also helped me successfully potty train Harper during this whole experience. I'll post more on that this weekend.

Easter Sunday

I had trouble loading the pictures in order from Saturday and Sunday. We went to Donna and Richard's house after church. We enjoyed great family fellowship, a nice meal and HUGE egg hunt. Hannah has major competition from Harper to look forward to in the coming years. Hays is still struggling- throwing down eggs if they had money in them. With the help of Uncle Don, Nana and Brian (putting eggs in his basket) - Hays definitely raised his egg count from last year.

Trying to take pictures after church. . . . .

Playing in the Rain and Waiting for Daddy

We LOVE playing in the rain!!

Two years later and we still love to watch for our daddy!

Various Pics

One of their favorite activities last week was playing "sleepover" with Hannah. They played "sleepover" in the hall, on the love sac and in their play cottage. At night Hannah got to sleep in the same room with her cousins. On her last night with us she decided to sleep in her own room because the babies woke her up too much during the night.

Hadlee w/ her baby purple. She decided that her baby would look better w/ sidewalk chalk on it.

Mendi, our speech therapist, brought some hot sauce for us to enjoy. I opened up a bag of chips and put a bowl of hot sauce and let the kids at it. They went through 3 cups of water while they munched and dipped away.

Picture from a playdate at the Shamma's house. My kids were the only ones that wouldn't sit still for pictures.

Zoo Day

Wade was off today so we decided to take the kids and Hannah to the zoo. We thought it might be a little crowded with Spring Break but we were way wrong- it was crowded with school field trips. I think all three kids stopped saying "BUS" after we saw our 20th or so school bus.

I didn't take many pictures due to the large crowds. I'll have more pictures later in the week from Monday adventure in the mud.

Goodbye Pacifiers!

or as Hadlee and Hays referred to them- "Pasees". Hays put them in the trash can and Hadlee gave her's to the cows.
