School Days

More pics from Hannah's visit last week. We went to see her off on her first day of first grade. We had a fun laid back week- we went to Nana and Papa's house on Tuesday and the rest of the time we just stayed at Mema and Papa's house. The kids love waiting for the school bus to bring home Hannah.

For the last month we've been enduring Harper's crying during naptime and when she wakes up in the morning. This only happens at our house so I thought Victoria might help her snap out of it. I'm happy to report that this morning we woke up to happy sounds from Harper and 10 minutes later she was crawling into our bed. Twenty minutes ago Harper was screaming for the same unknown reasons but now she must be back to sleep. Needless to say we're hoping that the crying gets better. I'll be sure to let you know about our progress.

Ice Cream

Harper cutting her eyes at Hadlee. Hadlee letting Harper know she has ice cream, too!

The girls getting ready to jump in their pool. Hays doing his usual- sliding his fish down the slide (he can do this for hours!)

Yesterday afternoon we went to the grocery store. I've been taking them with me for little over a year. Up until this summer, Hays would sit on the seat and the girls would ride in the basket. Wade exposed Hays to the fun of sitting in the basket and now he thinks that is his spot. The only problem is he takes up the entire basket and will not move to let one of his sisters sit next to him. The only solution that I've come up with since Wade has returned to work is shopping with two baskets.
During our shopping trip I decided to get ice cream for the kids (and me). They loved it and played so well for the rest of the evening. I don't know if it was the ice cream or just a coincidence.

Hannah!

Here are some pictures from the park when Hannah was visiting. The kids played and played with Hannah. We miss her!! In the last day, Hadlee, Harper and Hays have all asked me where Hannah was.
Mindi, our Speech Therapist, met us at the park for Hadlee's visit. She was very impressed at how verbal Hadlee was with Hannah. In the last day Hadlee is now saying so many more words and forming sentences. Yeah, Hannah!!

Beach Pics

More pictures from our family trip to the beach. Cynthia and I were the only adults that wanted to tackle taking these pictures. It was crazy and fun...

I took a break from the computer this week. All week I worked on putting together baby books. I figured I had procrastinated long enough and if I didn't start now they might never get finished. After I got the pictures sorted into categories- Hadlee, Harper, Hays and others, I realized that Hays needed more pictures. After printing 400 more pictures at HEB on Thursday, I've decided it will be a month long project.

Cynthia and Kelly dropped off Hannah this morning. She's going to entertain the three one more time before she starts 1st grade.

Beach and National Night Out Pics

I'm a little bummed that I don't have more pics from the beach. I accidentally erased the pictures off my camera after downloading them on to my dad's computer. We'll figure how to transfer them sometime this week. Cynthia took these on Saturday with her camera. Everyone had a blast, Harper and Hays loved the waves! (of course Hannah did also) Hadlee enjoyed filling all the containers with sand and water so the others could have them when they returned from the water.
Yesterday we attended two parties in our neighborhood. We went to the Argent Court assisted living in the afternoon. Hays, Harper and Hadlee surely do know how to liven up a party!! We got invited to come and hang out whenever we were walking in the neighborhood. While we were there we met a neighbor that was having a party in the evening. The police and firefighters showed up to meet the neighbors. Hadlee and Harper were fascinated by two babies at the party. I hear someone waking up-post more later.

Cousin Taylor or "T"ler

We're in Victoria until we go to the beach on Friday. Taylor or "T"ler, what Hays calls her, came to help out.
Taylor didn't get a break but Mommy got one! We sure have enjoyed Taylor this summer.
Ring around the rosy
Hadlee got her first busted lip. She tipped over the front of her riding toy onto the driveway.
