Jumping

The kids got this jumper for their 1st birthday from the Swifts. They liked it last year but now they can't get enough of it. Poor Hays just cries because he always wants to JUMP! Watch Hays in the video, he loves body slamming into the sides!

FOOTBALL

Three cups of ice from Sonic=10 minutes of sitting down at a Friday Night Football Game!

(We lasted until the game started, we're going to stick to Thursday night games)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch at a local church dayschool on Saturday. We were the only car when we drove into the parking lot. There were lots of pumpkins with signs about how much they cost, but there was no one there. Wade and I decided to take some quick pictures of the kids. If anyone has ever been with us, there is nothing quick about getting 3 2 year olds in and out of the car or trying to get them to sit in the same location to take pictures. We were at the pumpkin patch for about 15 minutes when someone drove up. At first we couldn't understand what she was saying when she got out of her car but she was trying to tell us that she was sorry she was late and giving us her LONG story. We laughed and said we were just visitors taking pictures. The kids had fun and we ended up staying for over 30 minutes.

MOPS Hayride and Picnic- A little about our week

Pictures from today's hayride and picnic with MOPS. We had a long morning with meltdowns from Hadlee and Harper. I contemplated taking them out. After a nap by Hadlee on the way, they had fun. The first two pictures are from the hayride. I tried to take them myself with three kids sitting on my lap. Some of the other moms took pictures of them, if they turn out good I'll download them.

We didn't get home until 2:00, 2 hours after their normal nap time usually begins. I put them in bed, all THREE now have crib tents, and Harper didn't go to sleep until 3:15. I just went into their room and there was a strong odor as soon as I opened the door. Another first to add to our week, Harper had pooped and yes, her diaper was off!! Thank goodness nothing was on her sheets and her blankets are now in the washing machine.

Just to fill you in on our week. We've had a first from Hadlee and Hays. Hays is now the proud owner of a crib tent. His sisters have been in their tents for months and I think Hays just figured out how to get a tent of his own-ESCAPE from his crib. Wade and I thought we might not need the 3rd crib tent we purchased back in March.

Hadlee shocked Wade and I by roaming the house in the middle of the night. Wednesday morning at 1:30 a.m., Wade woke up because he thought he heard something in the house. (Wade sleeps through everything) He got up and heard the fan in the kid's room. We always keep the door closed so he went to check on them. Hays and Harper were sleeping and Hadlee was no where to be found. He checked in the playroom and in the living room- no Hadlee. He looked in the dining room and there was Hadlee's nemo blanket and Hadlee underneath it. Wade woke me up, just so I would believe him. We took Hadlee back to bed. The next morning when I turned on the lights in the kitchen, Hadlee was covered up on the couch. She smiled as I moved the blanket from her face and was ready to take her paci and blanket back to her bed.

This morning I heard lots of noise over the monitor starting at 5:30 a.m. I 'm really not sure who got in bed with who or what they were doing. I do know that Harper had Hadlee's dolls and Hays had Hadlee's blanket in his bed. I don't know if we're going to have to keep the tents zipped during the night. . . . keep you posted . . . . . . FYI- We started unzipping the tents to help Harper with her crying. It definitely has helped with her crying when she wakes up from her nap. She still gives me her early morning cry and that's all!

Turkeyfest and Victoria

Here are the only two pictures I took at the Turkeyfest parade on Saturday. The other two are from Monday.

Sweet Potatoes

After their nap, Hadlee has started helping herself to the food in the pantry. Today she brought me a 2-pack of sweet potatoe baby food. Here are the pictures I just had to take- Hays still loves sweet potatoes. He won't touch any other kind so I'll probably continue to buy it for an occassional snack.

The other two pictures were taken last week. Hadlee styling her daddy's hair and Harper reading a book after story hour at the library.

Harper and Hadlee playing "Ring around the rosy"

MOPPETS

Hadlee sitting; Harper w/ her back toward the camera; Hannah, the girl facing the camera, doesn't know whether or not to smile. Hannah is in their class at both Moppets and Sunday school.
I guess the rope doesn't work for Hadlee and Hays. Where's Harper?
Snack time
Big girls!

Here are some pics Rosemary took from Moppets last week. All three had a great day, no crying and an easier transition.

Hanging out at Home

This week has been very laid back. After 8 days of sick kids and still going, going, going, we were ready for a break. Even Hadlee, Harper and Hays don't want to go "bye-bye". Yesterday Hays cried when I dragged him out of the house and all the way to get Checkers cat food. The lady at the vet's office looked at me like I was crazy dragging a kicking and screaming kid into their office. He did stop for a couple of minutes to chase around a cat.

Harper and Hadlee just woke up from their nap. Post more soon....
