Kindergarten Health Day

Friday was Health and Fitness Day for the Kindergarten class. Hadlee was excited about getting to wear workout clothes to school. Harper and Hays were upset because we were planning on going to Victoria for the weekend but our plans changed due to the rain. I snapped these pictures before we left for school.

As soon as they got in the car after school, Hays is moaning and groaning that his legs are broke.   Hadlee jumps in the car and said look what I got at Health Day.   Harper is griping to me because she was almost as fast but didn't get anything.....nothing different than any other day, everybody wants to talk, talk, talk when they get in the car.

Hays flexing his muscles!

Hadlee practicing her running before school.  She was the fastest kindergartner at school on Friday. (the reason she got the necklace)   Way to go, girl!  (Harper got 2nd.....not sure what place Hays came in)

100th Day of School

The 100th day of school is a big deal at Rodriguez. We were told over three weeks before to get together a collection of 100 items that your child collects or can put together. The kids got to parade around the school with their 100 items. They get to do it again next year so we have one year to think about what we'll do next.

Hadlee decided to do 100 hairbows. She was also "zero to hero" for the day.

Hays had a collection of 100 pennies.

Harper (and mommy) decorated her initial with 100 glass beads.

Life at almost 79 1/2 months

I'm happy to report that life is GREAT! Our morning routines have been near perfect- if you don't count our first tardy (Hays had a potty emergency and Hadlee couldn't find the "right" shoes. It was on their Daddy's watch and at first I thought he overslept. He takes the kids to school when I substitute at Navarro.), some Xs for whining or fighting or our this morning.....we are loving the charts and our touch n brush.....who knew ??

Of course we had to implement rewards with our charts, Harper was the first with date night with Daddy. I texted Wade when they were on their way and said take lots of pictures. Everytime my phone would beep, the other two got to see what their sister was up to.

Hadlee had some "whining" when she got home from school (she's been battling with her reading and sounds since we got back from break, not sure of a solution yet...) so Hays got a blizzard treat for his reward. We were suppose to go to Orange Leaf but I had to send Hadlee a strong message. Hadlee gets her treat tonight, if she does all of her work at school today.

Softball practice started for Daddy last week so we've been doing a lot of this.

Before Daddy started his season, we did some exploring around the area. We can't wait to do it again, what a fun day we had together.
