Summer Lovin' 2014

Summer is almost over but blogging has been delayed by soaking up the last few days.   The kids were at home for 7 nights during the month of July.   I've got tons of pictures to post from our trip to Oregon/Washington.  Nana gave each kid a digital camera to document their trip so we will have some great posts!

Indestructible Womble Bubble lasted for less than 8 hours at our house...

Poor boy, he had an inner and outer ear infection in his left ear, three days before our flight.

The girls' classes have been super busy with craft projects.

We had lots of playdates this summer. The slip n slide has been the biggest hit.

Unexpected problem....bonus to renting, we called TLU to fix the problem.  Only downside is we have to do the cleanup.

We met Carson and Amy for an evening of fun.

Galveston 2014

We left Concan and drove home to unload all of our river stuff.    Within an hour we were packed up and headed on the 3 1/2 hour drive to Galveston.   

Our first day was spent hanging out at the pool and water slide.  The water slide was super fast, even Haidyn and Aunt Cy went down it.   We tried to take pictures but most of them ended up like this one.

After the swim, it was icecream for everyone.  

The next day we were up bright and early!

The hotel had a sitting area right off our rooms that we took advantage during our stay.  

After breakfast we made our way to Space Center Houston.   Aunt C, Daddy and I had been as kids but it was the first for everyone else.   

It was the 45th anniversary of the first man landing on the moon, while we were visiting the Space Center.  We waited 2 hours to see the original Mission Control room.

We got pedicures later that evening. 

The next morning we enjoying the hotel and did some island exploring.   Mema spent lots of time taking the kids to get treats at the hotel Starbucks.  

After dinner we went to explore Pleasure Pier on the sea wall.  

The kids loved all the rides.   I think they rode all of them except the Ferris wheel.

They had rows and rows of rocking chairs for the adults and Haidyn to hang out at while the kids were in lines to ride rides.  

We ended the evening with a splash on the log ride.  

The next morning the girls wanted to enjoy the pool one last time.  They woke up @ 8 to have their last splash on the water slide.  

We tried to get some group shots before we checked out but the bellman came to get our luggage and our departure became chaotic.
