Easter Egg Hunts with the Easter Bunny

Hadlee, Harper and Hays are not big fans of the Easter Bunny.....I didn't find this out until we went to our first egg hunt last weekend and all three freaked out. Not just a little freaked but Harper shaking and wouldn't let go of me during both egg hunts.

I attempted to get them on the hayride so the EB could hide the eggs but I ended up having to ride along with them. I got Harper unglued long enough to snap this picture.

Hadlee was a little unsure but was willing to go on the hayride solo.

First egg hunt of the year and Hays scored four eggs, he was right on target from his previous years. He was content to get four but some nice boy saw his basket and put one of his eggs in for Hays.

Happy Hays checking out the candy he just scored!

The girls hunting away.

Breakfast at the zoo with the Easter Bunny. I loved the next two pictures because Harper wanted to take pictures before we went into the zoo.

Her sister made her mad with the baskets so Harper refused to smile for the camera. Hays tried to cheer up his sister but she was still mad at her sister.

Harper hunting eggs around the zoo.

Eating candy for breakfast....

Hays and AJay with the EB. Hadlee and Hays both wanted to take their picture with him but Harper was still too scared to get around him. Only the boys needed to go to the restroom so I got this picture on the way back to join the group.

I was surprised to see Katie Hutchins, now Katie Curry, working at the zoo. The kids had heard so much about Katie because she was Checkers' mommy when we lived in Sinton. Katie got Checkers when she started Kindergarten over 20 years ago. Mommy and Daddy moved across the street from the Hutchins and for some reason Checkers loved us. When we moved to Brenham, Katie wanted us to take Checkers with us.

After the zoo we went to eat and play some more. We had a fun morning at the zoo, we will definitely be regulars this summer when we're in Victoria.
