Two Weeks in Review....

Monday started out with a little gardening, Hadlee, Hays and Harper tending to their plants. An onion, an avocado seed and some flowers that they started from seeds at SS with Aunt Cynthia.

Some of our grass died in our backyard so we laid down pieces of sod in hope that it will help with the bare spots. What big helpers they were that day!

We usually leave the house on Tuesdays and go to College Station but I decided that it was a perfect day for the zoo. We let our membership expire last year so we hadn't been in almost a year. What a difference a year makes, the kids were curious and wanted to learn about the animals. It was like a homeschooling field trip.....I would never home school but if I did we would go to the zoo every couple of weeks.

Hays looking out the prairie dog opening.

Bad picture but this lion wanted to attack Hadlee. It was pawing at the glass and making sounds at her. The lady next to us took a picture because she had never seen anything like that.

Harper kissing two earthworms she found, the girl is afraid of most insects and animals but earthworms, flies and spiders are her friends...

This represents a full two hours of playtime for all three kiddos the other day. I think they told me they were making soup.

Our house got "flocked" with flamingos last week. The kids thought it was the coolest thing, they were pretty disappointed when they got picked up.
